Upper Otay is open on a Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday schedule. Upper Otay is catch and release only, no bait at Upper Otay, only artificial lures with barbless hooks. The road to Upper Otay is closed, but patrons can still park on the road and walk up to fish.

No rental boats at Otay during November, December and January. Will resume rentals in February 2011.
