As the Bass continue to indulge this was a great weekend to toss a line out. With several notables caught bets were that the prize catch would be with a crawdad, and those in favor won. Have a second rod ready if you want to get the early morning boils. Cats continue to be caught though no limits were reported. Best Cat Spots: Shadow Cove and the buoy line.
Best Cat Bait: Mackerel, Use scent liberally.
Best Bass Spots: Target the banks and fish downhill, also watch for early morning boils.
Best Bass Lures/bait: Zara Spooks, Kastmasters, and Senkos.
Water Temp: 76 degrees on the surface.

Prognosis: Now is as good as it gets if you want to take a mental note on the structure around the lake. It's time again to bring back our Twilight Boat rentals for the last 3 hours we are open. That's a motorboat rental for only $20.00 from 4pm to closing. Our first trout plant is on schedule for the week of October 18th.
