Hello from Your Lake Jennings: A lot of catfish dinners will be enjoyed by our anglers this week. Just about any bait that you can think of worked. Again the coves were the place to be. There was a smattering of bass caught including a few topwater but the topwater were not chasing shad.

Best Cat Spots: Eagle, Cloister and Hermit Coves.

Best Cat Bait: Chicken livers, shrimp, hot dogs or nightcrawlers. Use scent liberally.

Best Bass Spots: 25 ft on all the points.

Best Bass Lures /bait: # 13 Rapalas, Zara Spooks and d/s 4" morning dawn worms.

Water Temp.: 78 degrees on surface.

Notables: Friday, John Visser, Jake Alirez, Melody Noble, Lemon Grove, 15 cats, largest 4-0, chicken livers dipped in Secret 7, Cloister Cove.

Prognosis: We will be getting another 1000 lbs of Rock and Fish Ranch cats this week. It is hard to imagine the catfishing being any better. The bass eventally have to kick loose. We'll let you know when that happens.

Bass are still deep in the 15 to 25 ft. range even at night. No surface activity to speak of. Trout are being caught accidently by bass trollers. Overall the catch is about 1 per person no matter what you are fishing for. Best Trout...... Read More
