Hello from Your Lake Jennings: Friday was a good day for trout fishing but after that it was a washout for everything. The muddy water from the creek in Hermit Cove should have produced cats but no one was fishing them. Sunday had a few anglers but not enough to get a read on the fishing.

Best Trout Spots: Cactus patch, Half Moon Cove and Sentry Points.
Best Trout Lures / Bait: inflated nightcrawlers and salmon peach Power Bait.

Best Cat Spots: The dam buoyline and Hermit Cove.
Best Cat Bait: Chicken livers, mackerel and night crawlers. Use scent liberally

Best Bass Spots: The quarry.
Best Bass Lures /bait: crawdads

Water Temp. 56 degrees on surface.
Notables: No fish over 3 lbs. or limits under 1 hour.
Prognosis: We expect a 1000lb. load of Mt. Lassen's great trout this Tues.. The crystal ball says the weather will be nice next weekend. The trout inventory is high and we are in prespawn with the bass. The water temp has risen from 54 to 56 degrees and a 3-2 largemouth was caught 6' off the bank on Sunday.

Hello from Your Lake Jennings: We got hosed by the rains and while the fish are already wet the bass and trout did not seem to like it. Like always some of the cats moved to the muddy water in the backs of the coves and bit willingly. Our trout delivery was postponed because the truck was unable to make it. The crawdad bite backed off a little bit. Bass have been caught in 50 ft. of...... Read More
