Hello from Your Lake Jennings: We are open Thanksgiving Day at 5:45 AM. The trout bite has finally picked up. We had limits come from the Cactus Patch, fishing float, and Shadow Cove. Short leaders and salmon peach Power Bait were the hot tickets. The limits are not fast. 4 hours is the quickest limit we know of. Bass have slowed down. There is still some action on the bank early and late with the fish off the bank to 15 to 25 ft. of water. Steep banks are best. Cats are a still reliable bite if you fish deeper than 50 ft.

Best Trout Spots: Cactus Patch, fishing float, and Shadow Cove.
Best Trout Lures / Bait: salmon peach Power Bait

Best Cat Spots: The dam buoyline and Hermit Cove buoyline.
Best Cat Bait: Chicken livers, mackeral and night crawlers. Use scent liberally.

Best Bass Spots: Target the steep banks, fish downhill with Senkos into 25 ft. of water.
Best Bass Lures /bait: Senkos

Water Temp. 66 degrees on surface.

Notables: No fish over 3lbs. reported or limits under 1 hour.

Prognosis: Our 6th trout plant is on schedule for Wed. November 25th . We will stock 1000lbs. every week for the next 18 weeks. The inventory is up to the point where we are seeing more trout limits. We are bringing back our twilight boat rentals. Motorboats are $ 20.00 for the last 3 hours that we are open. So you can get a boat at 2:15 PM for $ 20.00.

Hello from Your Lake Jennings: We saw lots of mixed bags this week . Trout and cats were being caught in the same spots on both Power Bait and nightcrawlers. Half Moon and Hermit Cove produced a couple of limits but mostly it was onesies and twosies. There was no one spectacular bait. Shore anglers did slightly better than boaters. Almost every bass was earned. Throw on the bank early and late the fish in 15 to 25...... Read More

Hello from Your Lake Jennings: The better bite was the cats. Bass were more difficult and trout were even more so. An Interesting presentation was dropshotting mackerel 2 ft. of the bottom. It outperformed the standard bait on the bottom technique. The full moon also shifted the catching to late afternoon for all species. Best Trout Spots: None Best Trout Lures / Bait:...... Read More
