Pacific Dawn Checks in With A Monday Morning Report

Hey, good morning, gang. This is Captain Mike Loust aboard the Pacific Dawn.

We arrived at the bank yesterday, September 6th, at about 11 o’clock at night. We were able to find one school, stopped on it, and picked up a few handfuls of fish there. Unfortunately, we missed the bite time—we probably should have been here a little bit earlier.

Anyway, we ended up getting the anchor down for the day and started getting a bite in the gray light. We have 10 more for our efforts this morning, all on the gray-light bite. We just lost our current, but we do have 13 fish for our 14 people so far, and we still have plenty of time.

Check out our full schedule online. We’ll be running reverse day-and-a-half trips, as well as two-and-a-half-day trips. That seems to be the bread and butter for this kind of fishing.
