5-DAY TRIP UPDATE!!! EXCEL just came in from a 5-day trip from Cedros Island with 29 anglers. Gorgeous nice weather. They brought in 35 Yellowtail,8 Halibut, 1 Tuna & 1 Seabass. David Dow on his 16th Birthday, from Austin, Texas, nabbed the jackpot with a 35.2 lb Yellowtail. Ricahrd Cooper of Donwey won second place for a 34.6 lb Yellowtail. AWESOME OFFSHORE ACTION!!! EXCEL had 31 anglers on a 3-day trip offshore fishing. Good Weather. They landed 4 Blue Fin Tuna,145 Yellowtail & 70 Rockfish. First pot was claimed by Tran Long of Santa Ana with 33.4 Bluefin. 2nd place was taken by Cong Vu of Orange with a 28 lb Bluefin. The third spot by Danh Thao of Santa Ana with 25 lb Bluefin. 17 DAY HURRICANE BANK REPORT!!!! EXCEL just came from a 17 day trip with 20 passengers. They encountered bad weather & lots of Sharks. They took home 209 Yellowtail, 175 Yellowfin Tuna, 97 Wahoo & 1 grouper. Robert Orth of Moreno Valley, Ca got the jackpot with a 180 lb Yellowfin Tuna. 2nd place was taken by Marc Monforte of Fullerton, Ca with a 167.5 lb Yellowfin Tuna.
