Stocking: The last stocking of 1,000 pounds of catfish was the week of September 26th. The last 1,000 pounds will go into the lake this week! This season 8,750 pounds of catfish were stocked. Take advantage of the stock before weekly night fishing ends for the season!
Trout season is coming soon! As soon as we have a date for the opener, we'll let you know.

What's the catch?  Bluegill were biting around the lake in Hermit Cove and off of Eagle Point. Target depths of 20-30 feet with a piece of nightcrawler or meal worms. The catfish catch was best at night this weekend. Siesta Cove and the campground shoreline were active. Mackerel and dip baits were reeling them in. As the water temperature around the lake begins to cool, bass will move from deep to more shallow water searching for baitfish. Keep that in mind when choosing a lure - jigs, spinnerbaits, and jerkbaits are all good choices.
Don't forget to send us pics of your catch! You can tag us @lakejennings on social media or email them to ranger@lakejennings.org.

Conditions: The surface temperature is around 79 degrees. The district has filled the lake to capacity. Be mindful of newly submerged vegetation and rocks when boating. The sun is rising around 6:50 a.m. and setting about 6:20 p.m. New moon is October 25th. For a complete weather report in Lakeside, click HERE.
