Howdy everyone! We had some cloudy and wet weather the past few days but the weather is looking to improve for our final trout stock! Mark your calendars for March 11 so you can get in on the action! We will be stocking Lakes 3 and 4 with 500 pounds each. Your best bet is to use powerbait, mice tails, or a kastmaster. Consistent reports of trout being caught even with the weather being difficult lately. If you're going for bass your best bet will be a jerk bait, crank bait, and senkos. The bass bite has slowed down a little with the cold weather, but with spring time approaching the bite is going to pick up soon. Catfish season is also just around the corner! April 23 will be our catfish opener! We hope to see you out here!

Save Our Lakes

Here at Santee Lakes, we deeply value our abundant wildlife and pristine landscape. We work very hard to take care of the animals that call this place home and on keeping this place clean and presentable so our park patrons also can fully enjoy the scenery and their time here. However, we are still fighting a never ending battle of litter. Pictured above is two hours worth of cleaning up the shorelines of just one lake. Whether its fishing line, food wrappers, plastic bottles, crumpled up receipts, etc. if you pack it in, you need to pack it out or throw it away. We have many garbage / fishing line receptacles throughout the park for you to dispose of any unwanted trash. It is imperative that we all make a better effort at leaving wherever you go in life cleaner than when you found it. Everyone, including the wildlife, will thank you.
