Welcome to Otay Lake. Wow is it hot. It is Mid August and its the hottest week of the year. Deep, deep, deep you gotta go deep, deeper than usual. Several baits have been working, live red and night crawlers continue to do well. Go to the middle of the lake and let it hit the bottom. You can also finesse the plastics this week. The purple robo worm with the drop shot as well as the margarita and the senko. The crappie bite and bluegill are still good but again you gotta go deep. A few big cars were caught this week too. Good luck out there.
