Greetings from Otay Lakes. We’re in the middle of summer and the fish are moving deeper. When fishing the tullies and along the reeds, a wacky rigged senko is working well and so is the robo worm drop shot combo.

A successful bait has also been the common plastic fluke lure or anything imitating a shad. Live worms have also done the trick on the largemouth. The bluegill bite is still going strong with the post spawn happening now. You’ll notice all the baby bluegill running in the shallows with means the bite should be strong for a while longer. Good luck anglers.
