Hello from Your Lake Jennings: We have extended our trout plants thru Easter. The bite was better the trout in all the usual places. The average was 3 per rod. Same as last week in the bass dept. Bass are everywhere but big girls are playing hide and seek. Lots of males being caught. Brush hogs have been excellent. Cats are scattered all over the place but no big blues have shown up. The key is do what the cats are doing move, move and move.

Best Trout Spots: Half Moon Cove and Cactus Patch.
Best Trout Lures / Bait: Inflated crawlers on a 2 ft. leader dipped in scent.

Best Cat Spots: No place.
Best Cat Bait: Night crawlers and mackerel. Use scent liberally.

Best Bass Spots: Every 15 ft. along the shore.
Best Bass Lures /bait: It is jig time using creature baits. Carolina rigged lizards have been very good.

Water Temp. 62 to 63 degrees on surface.

Notables: No quick limits or fish over 3 pounds reported.

Prognosis: Mt. Lassen will deliver another 1000 lbs of trout on Tuesday. We have extended our trout stocking thru Easter. The bass spawn is full on but they are nesting deep in at least 15'of water.

The Lake Jennings Free Fishing University will be teaching bait fishing for trout at 1 PM on Sunday.
