Catfish were planted on Friday and the fish appear to be biting right out of the gate. Cut mackerel or chicken liver are both solid options for catfish. Stop by the Ranger Station for a dough-bait recipe that works well on either catfish or carp.

Small to medium sized bass are being reported and can be found around structure. They respond well to crawdads and dark colored plastics.

A handful of nice sized Crappie have been caught from shore and by boaters trolling for them. Crappie are most often caught on finger jigs or live golden shiners.
