Hello from Your Lake Jennings: Don't forget we are open Thanksgiving Day. Catch this: big trout are being caught on deep diving crankbaits like Bomber Fat A's and Shad Raps in Shadow Cove. The lake rose another 3 ft. and the bass still have their knickers in a knot over it. Cats were a little more spotty this week than last. Primarily because everyone was targeting the trout.
Best Trout Spots: Shadow Cove, Shadow Cove and Cactus Patch
Best Trout Lures / Bait: Inflated crawlers on a 4 ft. leader dipped in scent. Bomber Fat A's and Shad Raps
Best Cat Spots: The dam buoyline.
Best Cat Bait: Night Crawlers. Use scent liberally.
Best Bass Spots: Off the points using swimbaits or dropshotting in 25 to 35 ft. water.
Best Bass Lures /bait: Arron's Magic 4" worms, pumpkin Ikas and 7" Senkos.
Water Temp. 67 to 68 degrees on surface.
Notables: Fri., Sat., and Sun., Dan Heiser, El Cajon, trout limits each day. Largest @ 4-14 smallest @ 2-8, red Bomber Fat A.
Prognosis: Mt Lassen will add another 1000 lbs. of trout on Tuesday of this week. The best chance for trout is from a boat at Shadow Cove. Cats will show up in the runoff if we get some good rain before Thanksgiving. Otherwise fish deep. Whichever comes first. Open on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 5:45 AM to 5:15 PM. Prime times for both cats and bass are 5:30 AM to 9 AM and 4:30 to dark thirty.
The Lake Jennings Free Fishing University will be teaching bait fishing for trout at 1 PM on Sunday.

Lake Jennings Fish Report
Lake JenningsHello from Your Lake Jennings: Most fish in the lake had lockjaw. A few nice trout came from Cactus Patch and the Hermit Cove buoyline on crawlers. Interestingly crawlers produced more cats than mackerel. Normal incoming storms will boost a bite but Sunday was the worst day of the weekend. The lake is on the rise having come up 4' in the last week. This has pulled most of the bass off the bank into 20 to...... Read More
