  • We stocked another 1,000 lbs. of channel catfish last week bringing the total this season to 7,000 lbs.! Another 1,000 lbs. is coming next week!

  • Have you been to the lake yet for Night Fishing under the stars? The lake is open every Friday and Saturday until Labor Day from 6:00 a.m.to midnight! Full size lanterns required after 8:00 p.m. Come enjoy an evening at the lake before it's over!

  • The catfish bite is great this time of year. Early morning or sunset fishing for cats has been the best. Lots off Eagle Point biting on mackerel and chicken livers and the T-Dock was producing heavily this last weekend.

  •  There have been lots of nice sized bluegill caught over in Cloister Cove and the back of Half Moon Cove. Nightcrawlers or meal worms are the bait of choice for these panfish.

  • Lots of bass are being reeled in near Cloister Cove on senkos and Half Moon Cove on purple roboworms. Black yamamotos seem to be the hot color of the week.

  • As of August 1st, we've returned to our regular hours of operation. Hours are Fridays & Saturdays 6:00 a.m. to Midnight and Sundays 6:00 a.m.to 7:30 p.m. Fishing from the campground shoreline is available and open daily 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

  • Remember, Lake Jennings is a drinking water reservoir therefore, no body contact is permitted. Some ideas to stay cool on these warm days  is by soaking a bandana and draping it over your neck or forehead. Mist your clothing and wear light colors when you're here.

  • If you love camping, the campground has many fun things for children (and kids at heart) to do! Tetherball, giant Jenga, Horseshoes, and Corn Hole. There is also a covered playground area available with a swing set for the kids. Head to the Pavilion any day for games like ping pong or foosball! Enjoy campfire s'mores with Ranger Rusty Saturday evenings at 6:30 p.m.

  • Campsites are sold out this weekend and there are a few tent sites still available next weekend. Hurry and give us a call (619) 390-1623 or you can book your reservation on our website at www.lakejennings.org.

  • Rental boats are always available on a first come, first serve basis. We have motorboats, rowboats, kayaks, and paddle boats for rent. Bring your family and friends for an outing at the lake!

  • Please remember to make sure your trash gets in the proper receptacles when you are here at the lake. Keep the fish and the other wildlife safe!
