  • We stocked 1,000 lbs. of catfish last week bringing the total this season to 6,000 lbs.! We will be stocking another 1,000 lbs. next week!

  • We hope you've made it to the lake for Night Fishing under the stars! The lake is open every Friday and Saturday until Labor Day from 6:00 a.m. to midnight! Full size lanterns required after 8:00 p.m. 

  • Can you believe it's nearly the end of July?! There is still time to enjoy the lake everyday until the end of the month! The lake is open Sunday-Thursday in July from 6:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Come on out for some relaxation and enjoy the scenery and wildlife!

  • The last FREE boat launch Tuesday is next week on July 30th! Don't miss your chance to reel in some fishies! 

  • Catfish have been biting all over the lake. A few choice spots are in Hermit Cove, Sentry Point, and Shadow Cove and the baits of choice to try are nightcrawlers, cut mackerel, or chicken livers.

  • Those large mouth bass have been out and about too! Try your luck at Cloister Cove, near the T-dock or next to the buoy line in Hermit Cove. They are chomping down on purple plastic worms,swimbaits, and crawfish. 

  • Some of the popular sites for bluegill and redear have been at Eagle Point, Half Moon Cove and out the middle of the lake down deep. They are biting solidly on nightcrawlers and wax worms.

  • Campsites are sold out this weekend and next weekend. This takes us into August. Hurry and give us a call (619) 390-1623 or you can book your reservation on our website at www.lakejennings.org.

  • Rental boats are always available on a first come, first serve basis. We have motorboats, rowboats, kayaks, and paddle boats for rent. Bring your family and friends for an outing at the lake!

  • Please remember to make sure your trash gets in the proper receptacles when you are here at the lake. Keep the fish and the other wildlife safe!
