Catching the Spotlight

Another great week of fishing! Popular baits for catfish this week have been shrimp and mackerel. Eng (top left) caught this catfish out of Lake 3 on shrimp. Dong (top right) caught this catfish out of Lake 3 on shrimp. Jason (bottom left) caught this bass out of Lake 4 on a fluke. Jacob (bottom right) caught these catfish out of Lake 3 on shrimp. Join us for our next Night Fishing event on June 28th, 2018 at 5:00 PM. Lanterns are required and radios will not be permitted. No state license required. Lakes 1 through 4 only. This Saturday, June 30th from 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM we will be hosting the Firefighter Fishing Derby. Kids from ages 3 to 17 will be fish for free. Parking fees will still apply.

Avg. Water Temp: 76.7°F

Water Clarity: 6 ft.

The catfish bite has remained consistent with many reports of fish being caught on shrimp and mackerel. Reports of bass have been high with many fish being caught on swimbaits and topwater baits in the early mornings and late evenings. Bluegill have been seen along the shoreline and hiding in structure or under cover.
