Catching the Spotlight

Nathanial Wheeler of Lakeside had a great time fishing this week. He caught this 3 lb. trout out of Lake 4 on Powerbait. This weekend we will be holding our trout season reopener. We will be stocking 2,000 lbs. of trout with trout weighing up to 12 lbs.! We will have plenty of opportunities for prizes. Top 5 largest trout caught throughout the weekend will win a prize. We will also be tagging fish for prizes, so keep an eye out for the plastic tags on the trout. Take these fish and your permit to the General Store to get your prize. Finally, our trout season raffle is still going on. Bring a trout that weighs 5 lbs. or larger to the General Store to be entered to win a two nights stay in our cabins.

Lake lowdown

Avg. Water Temp: 60.7 °F Water Clarity: .5 ft. Trout remain consistent. They are being caught mainly on rainbow and chartreuse Powerbait. The bass bite has been decent this last week. Anglers have reported to me that soft plastics and slow retrieve baits have been doing well.
