Bass are schooled up, and chasing silversides on the surface, all over the lake. Most of the laregmouth are in the 11b. to 1.51b. range, with some of the wolf packs averaging 2 plus pounds. These fish can be finicky, and what works one day, might not the next. But guys who unlock the code have been having some phenomenal days on the water, reporting 20 to fish a day. The bluegill bite has tapered off, although a few nice red ear came in last week. Redworms were the bait of choice for the shellcrackers. There are numerous reports of some of the lakes big blue catfish cruising the shallows, though no catches were reported last week.
