Catching the Spotlight

For this week’s report I thought I would let everyone in on a little secret we managed to sneak into the newly landscaped banks on Lakes 2 and 3. We have installed fishing rod holders along the shore. They are flush to the ground and only one or two feet off the water. Next time you are fishing the west side of Lakes 2 or 3 check them out. It was also reported that one of our long time regulars, Bob Serrano, caught an 11 lb. bass on Lake 5 with a nightcrawler. Starting today we will be offering a “TWicket Permit Special”. If you buy a permit today or next Tuesday you can buy the following day for half price. This deal is available in the Park General store.

Lake Lowdown

Avg. Water Temp: 80.1 °F
Water Clarity: 5 ft.

Many anglers are reporting a good catfish bite in the early morning hours. Most of these fish have come out of Lakes 2 and 3. The base bite has been about average this week. Most anglers are catching them on soft plastics. Bluegill are still being caught in every lake. Red worms and mealworms are the bait to use.
