Catching the Spotlight

August is looking like it will be a great month of fishing. I've been receiving reports of just about every species of fish biting very well. Demetrius Snow (bottom right) caught this impressive blue gill out of Lake 5 this week. He was using wax worms. Ronnie Bogle (top left) had some good luck fishing while staying in one of our cabins. He caught this catfish on mackerel in Lake 7. Not to be out done by his dad, Ayden Bogle (top right) caught this bass the next day on Lake 7 as well.

This Thursday will be another Night Fishing Event!

Lake lowdown

Avg. Water Temp: 80.1°F
Water Clarity: 4 ft.

Catfish are still biting well on mackerel and shrimp. The blue gill are biting extremely well and have been taking just about any live worm you throw at them. Largemouth bass are starting to get pickier so dig deep in your tackle box and try something new.
