Hello from Lake Jennings! The hot trout bite continues to be localized at the
Cactus Patch. Try the eucalyptus trees at Cactus Patch. There was a great bite
on the bass until Friday and then it picked back up on Sunday. The ones being
caught are mostly males. The big girls are hiding. Some fry are being protected
by males. The red ears and cats will be moving into the shallows soon.
Best Trout Spots: Cactus Patch and the Cactus Patch.
Best Trout Lures/Bait: Chartruese Gulp and Power Bait on a 4' leader.
Best Catfish Spots: The floating boathouse and dam buoy line.
Best Catfish Bait: Bring mackerel or mackerel.
Best Bass Spots: On the bank and in 15 ft. of water off the points.
Best Bass Lures/Bait: Drop-shotting 4" worms. Ikas and Gitzits. Crawdads.
Notables: Wed., Matt Ryan, Alpine, 8.25 rainbow, Roadrunner, Sentry Point; Sun. Cody Ledbetter,
Lakeside, 7.62 largemouth, drop shot, boat dock; Sun., Mike Evans, Spring Valley, 12.8 largemouth,
Shadow Cove, swim bait.
Prognosis: The waning moon will slow down the rush to the shallows but it should make the bass that
are there more receptive to what you are throwing. The trout bite should continue to be great.
Water Temperature: 62-63 degrees.
Current Schedule: We will be open Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 6:30 a.m. ??? 7:30 p.m.
Offer Extended! Discounted Boat Rental: We have created a twilight special for our motorboats. After 4:00PM motorboats can be rented for $20.00. That gives you over 3 hours of primetime fishing.

Lake JenningsHello from Lake Jennings! We love rain. It is our lifeblood but it really puts a damper on southern California angler enthusiasm. Saturday was beautiful, and the trout cooperated, but the bass had lockjaw. The hot spots for trout were mid-Eagle Cove, the concrete steps in Hermit Cove, Siesta Cove and Shadow Cove. Hint: Do you see a pattern here!!! The bass are riding a roller coaster. One day they are up and the next day they are deep. They...... Read More
