TROUT BITE
The hot spots for trout were Cactus Patch and the
campground shoreline. On multiple days anglers caught trout limits before 10am! Fishing the morning bite is best with nightcrawlers and Salmon Peach PowerBait.
Anglers, please remember that trout are not catch and release at Lake Jennings. The limit is 5 trout per person.
BASS BITE
The bass bite has been slow for anglers as trout are being stocked regularly.
CATFISH AND PANFISH
Blue cats are on the move! Unlikely baits such as PowerBait have been used to catch huge catfish this time of the year!
CATCHES OF THE WEEK
Jason Casison caught his limit of from the campground shoreline on Thursday morning. Bob and Chuck Teachout from Lakeside caught their limit using Salmon Peach PowerBait. These two were fishing Hermit Cove and caught a total of 18lbs. of trout! Their largest was 5 ¼ lbs.!
LAKE NEWS
The lake will be open for fishing and recreation during winter break. Between December 18th and January 3rd, there is access to the entire lake shoreline and boats will be available for rent. The lake will only be open for fishing from the campground shoreline on Christmas Day. Free launch Tuesdays— Private boat launches are free Dec. 22nd and 29th of Winter break!

Best Bass Spots: Shoreline near the boat dock, Sentry Cove
Best Bass Lures/Bait: Plastics on the drop-shot, crawdads & swimbaits
Best Catfish Spots: Her mit Cove, Cactus Patch
Best Catfish Bait: Nightcrawlers, Chicken Liver
Best Panfish Spots: 25-30 feet of water

Lake JenningsTROUT BITE The hot spot for trout was in Hermit Cove this past week. A few anglers caught their limit with sizes between 1-6 pounds. PowerBait and mini jigs are still doing the trick! Lake JenningsTROUT BITE The trout are still biting strong here at Lake Jennings! The second week of trout season proved to be a success as fish were caught from boats and off the shoreline.
