TROUT BITE
The hot spot for trout was in Hermit Cove this past week. A few anglers caught their limit with sizes between 1-6 pounds. PowerBait and mini jigs are still doing the trick! Another stocking of trout is this week! 200 lbs. of trophy trout (3-12 lbs.) and 1800 lbs. of catchable trout (1-2 lbs.) will be added to our 4500 lbs. of trout stocked earlier this season!

BASS BITE
The water level is almost nearing capacity making bass fishing best from boats.

CATFISH AND PANFISH
Catfish are biting heavy! An im-pressive 63 lbs. catfish was caught this weekend, nearing the lake's 71 lbs. record.

CATCHES OF THE WEEK
John Visser of Lemon Grove reeled in a 63 lbs. Blue Catfish from the Buoy line. He was using chicken liver as bait. The catfish was re-leased back in to the lake after being weighed in. Come try your luck! Jorge Hernandez (11 caught a 4.5 lbs. catfish by Cactus Patch using a nightcrawler.

LAKE NEWS
The lake will be open for fishing and recreation during winter break. Between December 18th and January 3rd, there is access to the entire lake shoreline and boats will be available for rent. The lake will only be open for fishing from the campground shoreline on Christmas Day. Free launch Tuesdays— Private boat launches are free Dec. 22nd and 29th of Winter break!

Best Trout Spots: Half Moon Cove Best Trout Lures/Bait: Nightcrawlers, Salmon Peach PowerBait, and Mini Jigs.
Best Bass Spots: Shoreline near the boat dock, Sentry Cove.
Best Bass Lures/Bait: Plastics on the drop-shot, crawdads & swimbaits.
Best Catfish Spots: Hermit Cove, Cactus Patch.
Best Catfish Bait: Nightcrawlers, Chicken Liver.
Best Panfish Spots: 25-30 feet of water Best Panfish Lures/Bait: Mealworms, Nightcrawlers.

TROUT BITE The trout are still biting strong here at Lake Jennings! The second week of trout season proved to be a success as fish were caught from boats and off the shoreline.
