Trout fishing has been great as the weather is warming. The hottest spots are the Buoy Line and Whisker Bay with near limit style fishing. These fish are running in the 1-2 pound range with early AM action proving best.

Most trout are being caught on night crawlers, Rainbow Power Bait, small crappie mini jigs, pink and orange Power worms, and an assortment of lures such as Rooster-tails, Kastmasters, and Thomas Buoyant lures.

Bass fishing has been off and on this week. Some small males are starting to stage. They are holding in about 15 feet of water. If the weather holds we should see things blow up any day now.

The catfish bite dropped off as the water has cleared.

We have not seen any pan fish as of yet. It will likely happen when the water warms a few more degrees.

The next trout plant should arrive on Wednesday March 24th. The plant will contain 1500 pounds.
