CATCHING THE SPOTLIGHT

The biggest catfish of the season was caught last week! Chris Fontana (top left) caught this monster on Lake 4 on mackerel. It weighed in at 14 lbs. 12 oz. The bass bite hasn’t slowed down here either. Harold and Hunter Bye both caught these impressive bass on nightcrawlers in Lake 4.

The Santee Firefighter annual kids fishing derby will be held on Saturday, June 24. Kids between the ages of 3 and 17 will receive a free fishing permit for the day and a free box of worms. Don't forget about our fishing special this month! Half priced fishing permits and discounted gate fees every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday during the month of May.

LAKE LOWDOWN

Nothing has changed from last week’s report. Bass are still biting on soft plastics and the occasional top water lure. Catfish are still biting on mackerel.
