Coronado Islands Yellowtail action is heating up and the 3/4 day boat SAN DIEGO is heading south to take advantage of this great early season fishing. 3/4 day trips depart daily at 5:30am. Monday's trip is a go!
The Pacific Voyager returned from a Baja coast 1.5 day with 18 anglers catching Mexican limits of bottomfish including 90 Reds and 10 Lingcod.
The New Seaforth and charter boat Alexes ran 1/2 day trips to La Jolla Sunday and had very good bottomfishing.

Yellowtail are still around but being a bit elusive at this time but Rockfishing is about as good as it gets. Bountiful bait including Anchovies, Mackerel and Krill are setting the table for what could be a great spring. The wise angler would bring a rod and reel combo for yo-yo jig fishing, surface bait or jig fishing and a bottom fishing rig that can handle up to 300 foot depths and 8-10 ounce sinkers.......
