Hello from your Lake Jennings!
A few trout were caught each day at the fishing float. Orange Power Bait worked on Sunday. There was a 5 cast limit of cats on chartreuse Power Bait at the old launch ramp in Hermit Cove. The bass picked up again though they are in post spawn mode.
Best Catfish Spots: Bird Trees and coves
Best Catfish Bait: Flylined nightcrawlers
Best Bass Spots: Every 15 ft. along the bank
Best Bass Lures/Bait: Ika's and 4" morning dawn worms or flylined nightcrawlers
Best Trout Spots: Between the boat dock and the fishing float
Best Trout Bait: The bait that catches the most trout is nightcrawlers trolled down 5 to 6 colors
Prognosis: The channel cats are moving into the shallows. Cast into brush and you'll get either a bass or a cat. The next 3 weeks will probably be your last chance for trout. Fish deep water off the fishing float or by boat in the same area.
Water Temperature: 66 degrees on surface

Hello from your Lake Jennings! Flylining a crawler has been producing a mixed bag of mostly bass and cats. Fishing around the boat dock and the bird trees are your best bet for making a frying pan sizzle. Since the bird trees are not on the map make sure you ask when you get here. Trout action has pretty much become a boater's activity as the fish move deeper. Drifting ?? of a crawler down about 50 ft. will get you...... Read More
