Trout fishing is slow. Warming water temperatures have pushed the trout into the deeper areas of the lake. For better results travel westward toward the buoys. The best baits have been powerbait and/or powerworms, greens or yellows are the most popular colors, or inflated nightcrawlers.

Some bigger bass are being reported in the last couple of days. Bass are most often found near structure and are fond of crawdads and dark colored plastics.

Crappie are being caught primarily in the early mornings. Crappie were also reported caught near Lusardi Point. Crappie are most frequently caught using small jigs or live golden shiners.
