Hello from your Lake Jennings. The trout bite slowed for everyone. Only one pattern produced limits. It was to troll an orange Power Worm nightcrawler combo between Sentry and Eagle Points. The bass are starting to move up in the afternoon on the points. Big Senkos and 4" worms both produced. A few bass also showed up in Hermit Cove. No cats reported.

Best Trout Spots: Eagle point to Sentry Point.

Best Trout Lures/Bait: Orange Power Worms with  ? a crawler, slow trolled.

Best Cat Spots: The buoyline off Eggert Point and Hermit Cove.

Best Cat Bait: Mackerel and nightcrawlers. Use scent liberally.

Best Bass Spots:Sentry and Eagle points.

Best Bass Lures/bait: 4" dropshotted morning dawn worms and Big Senkos. Water Temp: 60 degrees on surface.

Notables: No fish over 3 pounds or limits under  ? hour reported. Prognosis: We will again stock 1000 lbs of Sierra 'Bows on Tuesday. We start seeing bass move into the shallows when the slimy green filamentas algae starts growing just like it is now. January and February are the best times to get big bass on swim baits.

The Lake Jennings Free Fishing University will be teaching trout fishing this Sunday at 1:00 p.m. For more info, you can call Hugh Marx at (619) 980-4844 or visit http://www.lakejennings.org
