Hello from Your Lake Jennings: The trout fishing, this weekend, was as bad as it was good last weekend. The bass fishing was also spotty. Almost no visible fish on the beds but lots of cruisers. Cats are being caught all over the place, deep and shallow. It seems that chicken livers were the main course.

Best Trout Spots: Eagle Point.
Best Trout Lures/Bait: nightcrawler/marshmallow combo.
Best Cat Spots: The dam buoyline and the brush.
Best Cat Bait: Chicken livers or nightcrawlers... Use scent liberally.
Best Bass Spots: The launch ramp.
Best Bass Lures/bait: crawdads, Ikas and jigs.

Water Temp. 61 degrees on surface.
Notables: No fish over 3 lbs. or limits under 1 hour.
Prognosis: The hot weather that is forecasted for this week should push the bass over the edge. The fact that the weather should be stable should bring the trout back online. Hello from Your Lake Jennings: The trout fishing is the best of the year. Cactus Patch, Eagle Point and Shadow Cove produced limits. Trolling has been poor but chucking silver Kastmasters in those spots have also been productive. The bass are definitely staging. Hello from Your Lake Jennings: The trout fishing was greatly improved Friday. The same for Saturday for those who did not mind getting wet. Sunday, the bite remains good in all the standard places. It is a bait bite only. Trolling is marginal. Even though we have stopped filling the lake the bass remain scattered and fussy... No one has seriously targeted the cats.
