Yellowfin in April.
The Shogun called in from the 1st day of a 3 day trip with 20 Yellowfin and 8 Bluefin. They are seeing good sign of fish in the area. The 2026 season is off to a GREAT start.

The fishing at the Coronado Island continues kicking out some very nice Yellowtail and now some Bonito. The Liberty has trips scheduled every day for the next couple of weeks. They are recommending a 40 or 50# yo-yo set up and 25 or 30# live bait set up. There have been some opportunities for the guys that want to fish the surface iron.

Bight Sportfishing called in with 5 Yellowtail on their Full Day Cornado Islands trip for 5 anglers. Still Fishing! The Freeman 34 has two Coronado Islands trips departing Friday and Saturday, specifically targeting yellowtail—prime opportunity to get on the bite!

The Dolphin AM caught 238 Rockfish for 39 anglers.

The Pacific Queen called in with 20 Bluefin Tuna for 30 anglers on their 2 day trip.

The Dolphin PM trip caught 47 Rockfish, 3 Calico Bass, 2 Sand bass, 4 Whitefish, 14 Sculpin and 1 Lingcod for 27 anglers.

The Liberty called in 3 Yellowtail, 65 Rockfish, 30 Reds and 2 Lingcod for 28 anglers.

The Dolphin AM trip caught 183 Rockfish for 33 anglers.
