The 42st Annual Port of San Diego’s Day at the Docks is Sunday April 7, 2024. This FREE waterfront festival celebrating the official start of San Diego’s spring saltwater sportfishing season will take place against the colorful backdrop of San Diego’s fleet of 70 sportfishing boats on San Diego Bay.
It is the largest sportfishing festival in the country and celebrates the world’s largest and most modern sportfishing fleet.
From 9 AM to 5 PM, Day at the Docks® will feature open house aboard fleet vessels, boat rides around the bay, casting contests, prizes, displays of fishing tackle, boats, apparel and art. There are fishing seminars, cooking demonstrations, marine retailers, a FREE stocked fishing area for children, a hands-on marine art contest for kids, music, food and live entertainment.
Admission to the festival is absolutely FREE!
There is free parking on Shelter Island with free, frequent shuttles to and from the festival.
