The Daily Double returned from their moring 1/2 day with a nice catch of 59 Rockfish, 5 Sand Bass, 3 Sculpin, 6 Sheephead, 1 Halibut and 23 Calico Bass with 89 C-N-R. 

The fleet has been seeing good signs of Bluefin Tuna offshore and have had some nice hits of quality Yellowtail as well. These are not your cookie cutter Yellows, but some nice fish from 15 - 30lbs! The BFT have been a bit finicky, so make sure to be prepared with some Flouro and lighter line, but make sure to bring your heavy gear as well as there are some quality fish being caught. Best to be as prepared as possible for any situation!

Local trips:

The Daily Double departs everyday at 8:30 AM. They will be fishing inshore throughout the weekend of the 27th and 28th. Starting Monday, May 29th the Double is adding a second trip departing at 3:00 PM. Call our office at (619) 223-1627 to book your reservation.
 

The Mission Belle has a few trips scheduled to fish offshore for Bluefin Tuna, Yellowtail and Bonito. Recommended tackle would be a bait rod with 25# or 30# and a jigs rod with 40# or 50#. Shimano Flat Falls, Colt Snipers, Daiwa SK jigs, Salas 6Xjr’s or Tady 9’s are all excellent jigs for this trip. Trips depart at 6:00 AM. NO PASSPORT required for this trip. (Schedule)

New trip added:

9th Annual Western Outdoor News / San Diego Offshore Jackpot Tournament is scheduled for June 30th. The Oceanside 95 will be one of the boats competing in this year’s event. Ticket price is $350 and includes your $20 jackpot entry fee. Departure date is June 29th at 8:00 PM. No passport required for this trip. If you do not have an advance reservation, there is a strong chance the processors will be unable to process your fish when you return back to the dock.
