The Trout stocking season is officially over, but that doesn't mean all the Trout are gone. The majority of our anglers have had luck fishing from the boats as the weather is heating up. Anglers fishing for Trout should try trolling near the Log-Boom, Bucktail Bay, and outside of Hidden Bay.

The Bass bite has remained consistent throughout all the spawning season. There are several hot spots across the lake as anglers are sight fishing for Bass beds. We recommend using creature jigs, drop shot, or Texas rigging a plastic worm.

Anglers targeting Catfish continue to have luck all over Lake Poway! The hot spots for the week were off the Log-Boom, Fishing Pier, and Half Moon. We recommend using mackerel, chicken liver, or stink baits on a Carolina Rig.

ANGLER OF THE MONTH: Test your fishing skills and become ANGLER OF THE MONTH! Each month anglers who catch the largest Bass or Catfish will win two fishing permits and a full day fishing boat. All fish must be weighed in at the boat dock by lake Staff. *For questions please contact (858)-668-4772*
