Catfish have been biting very well over the past couple of weeks along the shoreline and in coves around the lake down deep using a heavier sinker and a carolina rig with Sardines or cut Mackerel. The canal by the entrance booth has been producing some stripers mixed in with catfish and the rip rap leading up to the swim beach has also been a great area to catch catfish off bait. Bass are still eating soft plastic finesse style baits like roboworms or senkos and jigs and some deeper diving crank baits and jerkbaits along steeper walls and rocky points in the earlier hours of the day. Smaller stripers have been seen more towards the surface earlier in the day, but most of the larger stripers have been caught off bait in deeper waters or jigging up to 80ft deep behind the island of trolling heavier baits around the lake.

Water temperature: 60.5 degrees
