Trout season is finally here! Opening day of trout season was December 9th, limits of trout have been caught all weekend. Hot spots for the week have been the North Shore, Fishing Pier, and Half Moon. Anglers were using chartreuse mini jigs, and garlic power bait. On December 15th, the lake will be stocked with another 2,000 lbs.

THE YOUTH FISHING DERBY WILL BE FEBRUARY 4, 2023. A CAMPOUT WILL BE HOSTED THE NIGHT BEFORE THE DERBY ON FEBRUARY 3, 2023, AND YOU CAN REGISTER ON POWAY.ORG.  A TROUT FISHING SEMINAR WILL BE HOSTED BY OUR RANGERS FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS OF THE CAMPOUT ALONG WITH A FREE PIZZA DINNER.
