Good afternoon! This weeks spotlight is on Ryan who caught this nice rainbow trout on opening day of trout season! Ryan was using a mini jig for this catch. Plenty of action this weekend with reports of fish biting today too.

With the trout season now in full swing lets take a look at what's working best for the trout. Rat tails, kastmasters, and rooster tails are working well for the active approach for fishing. Pink and white is the color combination that is working best for the rat tails. If you want to toss some bait out and let it chill then powerbait is definitely going to be your best bet. Salmon peach, garlic, and rainbow are the best performing powerbaits so far. If you find yourself in need of any bait or tackle, we sell everything you'll need at our general store including what's listed above.

We just stocked 3,500 lbs of fish between lakes 2,3,4,6, and 7 so there are still plenty of fish to be caught! Make sure to get out here so you don't miss out on the action!

Lake Lowdown
