Lake Wohlford will be open on Labor Day, but the entire facility will be closed to the public on weekdays immediately following Labor Day. We will re-open for weekday use at the beginning of trout season in mid-December.

Catfish have been biting throughout the lake. Lake Wohlford cats prefer chicken liver, shrimp, or cut mackerel.

Crappie are being caught in small numbers in the early morning or late afternoon. They are most often caught on crappie jigs or live golden shiners.

The bass are active with small to medium sized bass hitting frequently on crawdads, shad raps, swimbaits, and dark colored plastics.
