  • Stocking: The lake was stocked with 1,000 pounds the week of August 15th. The next stocking will be the week of September 5th. The lake has been stocked with 5,750 pounds of catfish so far this season. The full catfish stocking schedule can be viewed HERE
  • What's the catch? The coves are producing limits and nice sized catfish— Cloister Cove and Half Moon Cove are the most popular right now. They're biting on cut mackerel and liver preserves. Bluegill are biting on night crawlers along the tree line in Cloister Cove and Siesta Cove. The water level has dropped, pushing fish into different structure. Target 10-20 feet of water. Bass are biting in the eastern part of the lake from the t-dock to the old boat launch. Reports are that the bass are biting on shiners. Don't forget to send us pics of your catch! You can tag us @lakejennings on social media or email them to ranger@lakejennings.org.
  • Conditions: The surface temperature around is 80.1 degrees. Days are already getting shorter. The sun is rising around 6:15 a.m. and setting about 7:25 p.m. For a complete weather report in Lakeside, click HERE.
  • Labor Day: The lake will be open on Monday, September 5th, 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Join us as summer begins to wind down for fishing, boating, hiking, picnicking, and more!
  • On Saturday, September 3rd CDFW offers their second FREE fishing day of 2022, meaning no state license is required to drop a line in the water. If you've always wanted to try fishing, Free Fishing Days provides a great, low-cost way to give it a try. A lake permit fee is still required.
