LAKE HOURS ARE CHANGING! Beginning Friday, March 18th the lake will be open 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday!
  • Stocking: The lake was stocked with 2,000 pounds of trout this week! The next stocking is April 4th where another 1,500 pounds of trout will go into the lake. For a complete stocking schedule, click HERE.
  • What's the catch? Sounds like there was good trout action in Hermit Cove this weekend. All the usual baits and lures seem to be working -- mini jigs, powerbait, nightcrawlers, etc. Target depths of 10-30 feet. There were some sizable Bluegill reeled in from the t-dock. Nightcrawlers and meal worms were reeling them in. The best bass spots this weekend were Shadow and Cloister Cove, and the campground shoreline. They're still biting on shiners and brush hog. Don't forget to send us pics of your catch! You can tag us @lakejennings on social media or email them to ranger@lakejennings.org.
  • Conditions: The current water temperature is 63 degrees. With the time change, the sun will rise around 7:00 a.m. each morning and set around 6:55 p.m. For a complete weather report in Lakeside, click HERE.
  • New Moon Fishing: The next New Moon Fishing date is April 2nd. The lake will be open 6am - 10pm, entrance gate closes at 8pm. Full sized lanterns are required at sunset. Boat rentals are available on a first come, first served basis. Ask about our military discounts on boat rentals (military ID required!).
  • National Walking Day: On Wednesday, April 6th the lake will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for walkers and hikers ONLY. Challenge yourself and walk the five and a half mile road around the lake or just take a leisurely stroll to enjoy the sunshine, trees, and birds. Annual Walking Passes will be $10 off on 4/6!
  • Spring Break: The lake will be open for spring break April 8th - April 17th! Monday - Thursday hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Friday - Sunday hours will remain the same 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Boating, fishing, hiking, bird watching, picnicking are available DAILY!
  • WE'RE HIRING!! We are hiring dockhands to work on the boat dock. Dockhands help maintain our boat rental fleet, provide excellent customer service, and help maintain the property and facilities.
