GREETINGS FROM LAKE CUYAMACA
WE ARE OPEN EVERY DAY AT 6 AM. CLOSING TIME FOR SHORE FISHING IS 7:15 PM.
Jess Ranch stocked 1,700 pounds of beautiful Rainbow Trout this week. NEWS UPDATE: Kayaks and canoes are now allowed on the lake from memorial day through november 1. the charge for the canoe or kayak wash has been lowered to $5.00. The launch fee of $5.00 still stands.

Best Trout Lure: Roostertails, crappie jigs
Best Trout Bait: Nightcrawlers, Power Bait

Best Spots: Pumphouse Cove, Lone Pine around the Island

Notables:

- Ian Coley of Santa Ysabel limited out using inflated nightcrawler and power bait. Largest was 2 pounds.
- Matt and John of Murrietta each limited out. The largest was was two pounds. They were trolling off Fletcher Island. - Jim Bennett of Serra Mesa also got five Rainbows off Fletcher Island using power bait.
- Brian Wahlster of San Diego got 5 trout, largest 2 1/2 pounds using a large nightcrawler by pumphouse cove.
- Dennis Gamble of Escondido took 4 nice one pounders with a yellow Crappie Jig off the Island.

THE FREE FISHING CLASS CONTINUES ON OCTOBER 3 AT THE LAUNCH RAMP. MEET RANGER CHARLIE AT 10 AM.

THE DECONTAMINATION WASH DOWN IS REQUIRED FOR ALL PRIVATE VESSELS BEFORE A LAUNCH.
