The bass are scattered from1' to 25' of water throughout the lake. The fish up tight are eating small swimbaits, and jigs. The largemouth holding deep have biting finesse baits, such as drop shot, shakey head,etc. Most of the largies are in the 1lb to 3lb range. Anglers still connecting with some bluegill in both the Kimball, and aqueduct arms of the lake. There was one catfish reported to the concession by Maurice Sandifer of San Diego, who boated a 36.8 blue catfish that came out of Aqueduct on chicken liver.

The bas bite has remained unchanged since last week, it's been finesse fishing in 20' to 30' of water all over the lake. Still no signs of any breaking fish as of yet. Bluegill have been in creek channels in 15' to 20' in both the Barona, and Kimball arms. The Bass bite has been fair on finesse techniques fished in 20’ to 30’ of water. Still waiting for the open water boils to develop, but no action as of yet. Bluegill still showing on drop shot nightcrawelrs in 15’ of water in the Barona, and Kimball arms of the lake. Catfish went unreported to the concession last week. ...... Read More
