Wednesday Update

  • The Tribute wrapped up their Overnight trip with 15 Dorado for their 13 anglers. Captain Buzz mentioned seeing good numbers of fish on the paddies they located but many of the fish were not in a biting mood. The still have plenty of spots available for their Overnight trip departing tonight at 10:00 PM.
  • We did see some more Yellowfin numbers today as well. The San Diego finished their Full Day Offshore trip with 22 Yellowfin for their 33 anglers, the Voyager ended their Overnight charter with 43 Yellowfin for their 13 anglers and the Pride ended their Overnight charter with 13 Yellowfin for their 15 anglers. We're hoping that this recent increase in Yellowfin numbers is a sign of things to come as we get later into September!
  • The Apollo wrapped up their 3 Day charter with 17 Bluefin and 19 Yellowtail for their 18 anglers. 9 of their Bluefin weighed between 130 to 220 pounds so there are still big Bluefin out there to be found. If you are gonna be headed out on a 1.5 Day or longer trip here soon be sure to have some heavier gear and some Shimano Flatfalls or Daiwa SK Jigs with you for that fish of a lifetime!
