Average Water Temperature: 80.7°F
Water Clarity: 5 Feet

The catfish bite remains consistent with reports of fish being caught on mackerel and shrimp. Popular spots include the east shore of Lake 4 near the restroom and the west shore of Lake 3 near the point.The bass have been biting on soft plastics such as flukes, senkos, and ikas.. Popular spots include the southwest corner of Lake 5 and the south shore of Lake 3. The bluegill continue to bite on nightcrawlers and red-worms. Popular spots include the north shore of Lake 3 and the west shore of Lake 5. Our next scheduled stock will take place on Friday, August 20 . A portion of the Lakes will be closed in order to give the fish time to acclimate. Be sure to join us on Thursday, August 19 from 5 PM to 11:30 PM for our last Summer Night Fishing event of the season! No California State License needed, just a Santee Lakes daily permit. Lanterns are required, radios will not be permitted, pets are not permitted, and please be sure to pick up your trash so we are able to continue holding these events for the community.
