November 2, 2020, COVID Update: We have received many calls from concerned customers regarding their fishing trips. We are OPEN and will be running all trips as scheduled. Our fleet is doing everything they can to ensure that we observe all safety protocols to provide the safest environment possible for your fishing trip.

Tackle Day November 7th, 2020 9am to 3pm

EVENT DETAILS: Fisherman's Landing in conjunction with Let’s Talk Hook-up and several prominent fishing tackle manufactures, will host Tackle Day at Fisherman's Landing.  This event will feature seminars throughout the day given by some of Southern California's premier saltwater fishing experts, including captains from local and long range sportfishing vessels.  Many tackle manufacturers will be on hand to display their newest saltwater fishing gear. West Coast Marine will have a Parkers boat on display.  Fisherman's Landing Tackle Shop will offer UNBELIEVABLE BLOWOUT PRICING on tons of saltwater fishing items, for local and long range fishermen, as well as holiday shoppers. Participate in the ever popular SURFACE IRON CASTING CONTEST! Additionally, dozens of prizes will be up for grabs in a huge raffle. The raffle will in part benefit Captain Rollo's Kids at Sea. Let's Talk Hook-up will kick off the event with a live broadcast on FM 97.3 The Fan from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM. Seminars and sales activities will begin at 9:00AM.

The Islander called in with 37 Bluefin Tuna 12 to 40 pounds and 2 Yellowtail for thier 1.5 day trip with 31 anglers.

The Pacific Queen called in with 38 Bluefin Tuna (3 over 100lbs) on their 1.5 day trip with 33 anglers they on the hun for bigger Bluefin now.

The Pegasus called in with 51 Bluefin Tuna from 15 to 150 pounds, (2 @150lbs), and ( 9 between 40 - 90lbs). They calso caught 57 Yellowtail for thier extend 1.5 day trip with 19 anglers.

The Liberty called in with 85 Yellowtail(Limits!), 24 Yellowfin tuna, 9 Dorado and 23 Skipjack tuna for their Full Day trip with 17 Anglers. They also reported great weather.

The Pacific Dawn returned with 28 Bluefin Tuna 14@ 80# for their 1.5 trip with 16 Anglers.

The Outrider caught 3 Bluefin Tuna up to 160lbs for 10 anglers on their 1.5 Day trip. 

11/01/2020
The Dolphin pm trip caught 41 Sheephead, 38 Rockfish, 23 Calico Bass, 17 Sculpin and 6 Sand Bass for their 1/2 day trip with 41 Anglers.

The Liberty called in with 57 Yellowtail, 1 Dorado and 5 Skipjack for their Full-day tripwith 39 anglers.

The Pacific Queen called in with LIMITS of Yellowfin Tuna (165), 6 Yellowtail and 6 Dorado for 33 anglers on their Overnight trip.

The Outrider finished their 2 Day trip with 30 Yellowtail and 6 Bluefin Tuna (all right around 150 lbs.) for 11 anglers. 

The Dolphin AM finished with 10 Yellowtail (10-15#), 2 Halibut, 5 Sheephead, 35 Rockfish, 10 Sandbass, and 6 Calico Bass for 40 anglers. Captain Jason said Yo-Yo Jigs and Reverse Dropper Loops is preferred for this afternoon! 

The Pegasus  returned from a 3 day trip with 74 Bluefin Tuna and 45 Yellowtail (15 to 25 lbs.) for 19 anglers. Most of the Bluefin were 25 to 50 lbs. They also caught 5 over 100 lbs, 2 over 200 lbs., 1 @ 260 lbs., and 1@ 285 lbs.

The Islander  returned with 56 Bluefin Tuna (12-50lbs) and 1 Yellowtail for 31 anglers on their 1.5 Day trip. 

The Condor  returned with 42 Bluefin Tuna for 34 anglers on their 1.5 Day Trip. 

The Tomahawk  returned from their 1.5 Day trip with 13 Bluefin Tuna (130lb-350lb) for 27 anglers. 

Boats are recommending 25-pound outfits for the Yellowfin and Yellowtail. 40 to 60-pound outfits for mid-size Bluefin Tuna. 80 to 100-pound outfits for the bigger size Bluefin.

  • Hook size, they are recommending number 1 to 2/0 size circle hooks.  They are catching the Bluefin on fly-line rigs, sinkers-rigs, and flat fall jigs.

As of right now, all passengers must bring a face mask on all trips. Passengers on Overnight trips and longer need to bring their own pillow and blankets. The crews will be cleaning and sanitizing all common areas frequently.
