October 29, 2020, COVID Update: We have received many calls from concerned customers regarding their fishing trips. We are OPEN and will be running all trips as scheduled. Our fleet is doing everything they can to ensure that we observe all safety protocols to provide the safest environment possible for your fishing trip.

Tackle Day November 7th, 2020 9am to 3pm

EVENT DETAILS: Fisherman's Landing in conjunction with Let’s Talk Hook-up and several prominent fishing tackle manufactures, will host Tackle Day at Fisherman's Landing.  This event will feature seminars throughout the day given by some of Southern California's premier saltwater fishing experts, including captains from local and long range sportfishing vessels.  Many tackle manufacturers will be on hand to display their newest saltwater fishing gear. West Coast Marine will have a Parkers boat on display.  Fisherman's Landing Tackle Shop will offer UNBELIEVABLE BLOWOUT PRICING on tons of saltwater fishing items, for local and long range fishermen, as well as holiday shoppers. Participate in the ever popular SURFACE IRON CASTING CONTEST! Additionally, dozens of prizes will be up for grabs in a huge raffle. The raffle will in part benefit Captain Rollo's Kids at Sea. Let's Talk Hook-up will kick off the event with a live broadcast on FM 97.3 The Fan from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM. Seminars and sales activities will begin at 9:00AM.

The Pacific Queen called in from their 3 Day trip with 116 Bluefin Tuna  and 16 Yellowtail for 24 anglers. Twenty six of their Bluefin Tuna are between 80-220lbs and the rest of them are between 30-40lbs. 

The Dolphin AM trip caught 90 Rockfish for 24 anglers. 

The Dolphin PM trip caught 65 Rockfish, 10 Bonito, and 1 Whitefish for 22 anglers. 

The Liberty caught LIMITS of Yellowtail (185) and 9 Dorado for 37 anglers on their Full Day Offshore trip. 

The Pegasus called in with 30 Bluefin Tuna. Most of them are between 15 to 50lb,  1@260lb  and 1@280lb. They also caught 23 Yellowtail for their 2 day of a 3 day with 19 anglers.

The Pacific Dawn called in with 45 Bluefin Tuna 5 over 100# and 2 over 200# the rest are 15 to 40# for thier extend 1.5 day and still still fishing with 17 anglers and still fishing.

The Tomahawk called in with 24 Bluefin Tuna 30-190# for their 2 trip with 27 Anglers.

The Outrider returned with 12 Bluefin Tuna 40-160# for 9 Anglers on their extended 1.5 trip.

The Condor returned  with LIMITS (48) Bluefin Tuna 1@164# for 24 anglers on their 1.5 day trip.

Bight Sportfishing returned with LIMITS (20) of Yellowfin Tuna and LIMITS (20) of Yellowtail for 4 anglers on a full day trip.

The Liberty called in with 30 Yellowtail, 12 Dorado, and 5 Yellowfin Tuna for 31 anglers. 

The Dolphin called in with 85 rockfish, 18 sculpin, 8 sheephead, 9 clico bas (36 released). and 1 sandbass on their Am trip with 21 anglers.

The Dolphin PM caught 76 Rockfish, 9 Sculpin, 7 Sheep Head, 2 Sand Bass, and 1 Calico Bass for 21 anglers. 

The Pacific Queen called in with 47 Bluefin Tuna (9@100+LBS and 1@220#) for Day 2 of their 3 day trip for 24 anglers.

The Pegasus returned this AM with LIMITS (36) of Bluefin Tuna (up to 150#) and 24 Yellowtail (15-25lbs)  on their 1.5 day trip with 18 anglers.

The Islander returned this AM with LIMITS (40) Bluefin Tuna up to 100lbs and 6 Yellowtail for 18 anglers on their 1.5 Day trip. 

Boats are recommending 25-pound outfits for the Yellowfin and Yellowtail. 40 to 60-pound outfits for mid-size Bluefin Tuna. 80 to 100-pound outfits for the bigger size Bluefin.

  • Hook size, they are recommending number 1 to 2/0 size circle hooks.  They are catching the Bluefin on fly-line rigs, sinkers-rigs, and flat fall jigs.

As of right now, all passengers must bring a face mask on all trips. Passengers on Overnight trips and longer need to bring their own pillow and blankets. The crews will be cleaning and sanitizing all common areas frequently.
