The bass bite was challenging after 10AM this week. Morning and evening bite was still very good. Reaction baits and flipping flukes was the most successful for catching the larger bass. Anglers reported smaller catches midday. The catfish bite was excellent this week. The bluegill bite has slowed down some, however crappie season is coming! Anglers reported 114 Bass and 42 Bluegill caught.

Welcome to Lower Otay Lake. As the season changes from summer to fall we look forward to colder water and the opportunity it will bring us. The bluegill bite has been good and steady. Many are having luck with the bobber attached to a 2 foot leader with no weight. Use a meal worm and let it float down.
