  • Stocking: The lake has been stocked with a total of 5,000 pounds of catfish this summer. The last catfish stocking was last week!
  • What's the catch? Fishermen were catching limits of catfish on Friday night using everything from mackerel to dip bait. Half Moon Cove, Shadow Cove and Siesta Cove were all yielding catfish over the weekend. We had some larger bass caught from the t-dock and Siesta Point. Bass were biting on plastic worms and Rapala lures. Our rangers recommend keeping the rod tip just above the rail of the boat until you're ready to set your hook in the fish especially with top water lures like Rapala. The panfish bite was still strong in Hermits and Cloister Cove. Half a nightcrawler and meal worms were producing the most bites.
