The bass bite here has been almost as hot as the weather, many anglers reporting 20 to 30 fish days. Top waters are getting but both early and late and good finesse action in the mid morning/ afternoon. Most of the largemouth have been in the 2lb. to 3lb. Range, with the occasional 4lb. to 5 lb. as well. The panfish bite has slowed, and only a handful of bluegill were reported to the concession last week.

The bass are starting to school up and are in open water chasing small silversides. The best action has started around 8 am until 6 pm. The more boats on the water, the more boils you’ll see. A-rigs, flukes and poppers all worked on the breaking fish. The worm bite has been fair in the 30’ to 40’ of water in main lake areas. The heat wave has slowed the bass bite some, scattering the fish throughout the water column. There’s still fish schooled up and chasing silversides, fishing the frog in the grass has produced a few for some, as well as the drop shot from 20’ to 50’ of water. The bluegill and red ear bite has slowed some, but there’s still been some panfish coming out of the toll road, aqueduct arm on drop shotted crawls and red worms. No reports...... Read More
